Hey y'all! Happy 11.11.11! hehe

So here's my latest cover! When I first heard the song, I lovedddd it.. but since I haven't done any "English renditions" or "Korean renditions" lately.. I thought I should do something of a combination.. *but* I wasn't fully invested into doing the song entirely in Korean because I like singing the original version so much.. so here we are at an English/Korean cover!

The video description says it all pretty much, but I'll re-iterate here. The English lyrics are obviously still the same as the original, but for the Korean lyrics, the chorus is more or less a translation, and the raps are original. I wrote some of the Korean lyrics on my own, and for the parts I was lazy about, I asked my friend to translate my English lyrics for that. And then I got her to check over my Korean lyrics as well.

So there you have it! Here's the video, and I hope you like it ^_^

Hey hey hey!

It's been a terribly long time since I've posted a video.. which is bad cuz I'm not even travelling right now lol.. but I *have* been busy.. looking for jobs and whatnot.. and now I'm working fulltime like a real grown-up =(

Anyway lol.. so yes, this is an acoustic cover of Kayne West's song "Heartless", but I did it in Dia Frampton's rendition. For those who don't know, she was the runner up of season 1 of The Voice.

I'm baaack!

Alrighty. So whoever has not been keeping up with my travel blog, I'll fill you in quickly! So basically, I finally finished undergrad, after 6 long years of switching programs, classes and co-op terms, and went on a 2.5-month graduation trip with my two closest friends. We visited Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and South Korea. It was an amazing trip, unforgettable, and I can't believe it's over already..

But I'm back, and ready to start making YouTube videos again! Yay!

As I've written in the video description, B2ST released their first album Fact & Fiction, and started promoting their title song Fiction, which was a hit and won #1 a whole bunch of times on the music shows. Naturally, I loved the song when I first heard it.. played it over and over.. annoyed my travel mates a bit haha.. and so, I was sure that the first video I wanted to do upon return was none other than this song.

So here it is, an acoustic cover of the song. The piano at the end is done by me. And uhh.. please be gentle, as I'm probably quite out of practice lol.

Alrighty. So here's a new English rendition. Lyrics are a tad weird cuz of the English lyrics they used in the original song like.. "fox" lol.. I guess you could use fox in an English song too, but probably not one this happy-sounding.. meh

Going on a trip!

The video pretty much says it all.. just finished my last semester of undergrad, and it's the perfect time to go on a long trip! In 2.5 months, I'll be visiting Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and ending off in Korea.

Feel free to leave travel tips and suggestions in the comments. I'll do my best to keep my travel blog updated with pictures and tidbits. In fact, I've already started it with pre-trip stuffs, so check it out ^_^

[YouTube] Bee Gees - How Deep Is Your Love (cover)

Hello hello!

School has been crazy busy this semester.. I guess that comes with it being your last semester of undergrad (woot!), but I wasn't expecting it to be this busy.

Got one exam left on Monday and then it's sweet sweet freedom! All my relatives and other adults always tell me once you start working, you'll miss school.. and each and every time, I've disagreed. I know working in co-op is not exactly the same as working fulltime cuz they probably don't give you as much responsibility, but I definitely enjoyed working more than being at school.. cuz with school, when you come home, you do more work until the middle of the night.. but at work, once 5pm rolls around, the day is over and you can do whatever. We'll see if my opinion ever changes, but I don't feel that it will.

Anyway. Now onto the video! So I chose to do a cover to the Bee Gee's song "How Deep Is Your Love". I've always loved this song, and many other artists and groups have also covered this song. I first did a recording of it back in 2006 with my old crappy mic, and not the full version of the song either. So I wanted to do an improved full version of it.

This may be the last video I do for a while (unless I post another one in the next couple of weeks).. will be going on a trip soon for a few months so I probably won't be posting any videos until I get back. More details on this later.

Hey everyone!

So it's been a while since I've posted a video.. been quite busy with school =.=

I'm taking this one course about mobile robot programming and let's just say robots are a pain to work with.

Anyway! I've been wanting to write Korean songs for a long time (I have 2 originals done so far), but I thought I should start by posting a Korean rendition of an English song. I wrote the lyrics for this about a month ago, but never got around to doing the video.. and alas, instead of finishing my assignment early, I decided it was the perfect time to record a video ;)

So here it is. My Korean rendition of Justin Bieber's hit "Baby". It is not a translation, but a rendition =]

Infinite - BTD (Before The Dawn) (English version/rendition)

Yayyy ^^

First English version of 2011! I was quite excited when I heard this song.. not only because I loved the song and the dance, but because I knew "ahh.. this song could definitely work with English lyrics!". And so here we are =]

The raps for this song were the hardest parts to write because the flow and rhythm of the Korean lyrics weren't really the same as typical English raps so it was hard finding words that would fit.. anyway, this is what I ended up with haha.. hope you enjoy it!

Cube Entertainment Global Audition 2011 (updated)

So about my audition clip. I pondered about which song to do.. Initially I was going to sing G.O.D's .길 (Road), and then switched to 나윤권의 기대 (Na Yoon Kwon - Expectation) and then I decided they didn't really showcase what I wanted them to.

I ended up going with an English song from the early 80's - Open Arms originally done by Journey. Why did I choose this song? Not really sure why.. but I love singing it lol. I love singing the G.O.D song too but I dunno.. just felt like doing this one.

The audition details seem to place emphasis on singing live without any post-production. So no adding reverb. I dunno if adding reverb counts, but I thought I'd leave it out just to be safe. And to prove that I wasn't lipsyncing, I chose not to use my condenser mic, and just use the plain old digital camera mic.. not that it would have really made a difference (maybe I was just being lazy haha).

Anyway, again, this preliminary audition is all based on views and votes and shares, although they say they will watch all the entries just in case. So please, watch my audition clip, like it on YouTube (if you liked it) and share it with your friends and family ^^
